Yuriy Serebriansky — kazakhstani author polish origin. Writes prose, poetry, engaged with literary translation teach creative writing workshop for AOLS Almaty Open Literary School. Since 2006 his works appears in Kazakh, Russian, US, Polish, Swiss, Chilean literary magazines.
Awarded by russian literary prize Russkaya Premia in 2010, 2014 for short prose, Kazakhstani Fairy Tales recognizes as the best billingual book for young audience of Silk Road book fair in 2017, Kazakh Pen medal.
Participaded in «Russian young writers forum Lipki» in 2006 and 2008.
Editor-in-Chief of kazakhstani polish diaspora magazine «Ałmatyński Kurier Polonijny». Serves as an editor of prose section in «Literratura» Russian literary magazine since 2019.
Was an Editor-in-Chief of Esquire Kazakhstan from 2016 till 2018. Holds Fashion TV Award.
Honorary participant of IWP writers residency 2017 in Iowa-city, Iowa. Member of Kazakh PEN since 2017. Member-candidate in Polish Translators Society.
Participated in several International literary festivals including Struga Poetry Evenings’22 in North Macedonia.
His prose and poetry translated into Kazakh, Polish, English, Arab, Chinese, Spanish, French, Macedonian and German languages.
